Welcome to our new web site.
S-IN is a company offering consultancy services, training, contract research and software in the fields of cheminformatics and infometrics.
ACD/Labs has launched ACD/I-Lab, a web-based service available to everyone, providing instant access to a wide range of chemical property predictions, spectral predictions, chemical nomenclature, and databases of properties and spectra.
L’Aquila will host the 1st scientific national convention of the researchers working in the broad field of molecular modeling and computational techniques applied to medicinal chemistry at the Auditorium of Research Center of Dompé SpA from 21 to 23 November 2011.
ACD/Labs Package for Toxicity Screening of Impurities provides a battery of in silico tests to accurately assess the genotoxic and carcinogenic potential of impurities and degradants, found to be below the threshold of toxicological concern in drug products, helping companies remain compliant with regulatory submission requirements.
ACD/Labs’ REACH software package is a solution to facilitate REACH submission process without the need for labor-intensive laboratory experiments. The package provides accurate and reliable physicochemical and toxicological property predictions with systematic nomenclature for chemical structures.
ACD/Labs announces PERCEPTA, a new powerful platform that delivers reliable in-silico prediction tools for physicochemical properties, ADME characteristics, and toxicity endpoints in one seamless environment.
The COSMOS (Integrated In Silico Models for the Prediction of Human Repeated Dose Toxicity of COSMetics to Optimise Safety) Project is a unique collaboration to solve a key problem to determine the safety of cosmetic ingredients, without the use of animals. The main aim of the COSMOS project is to develop freely available (open access and source) tools and workflows to predict the harmful long-term effects of cosmetic ingredients to humans.
This five year project, which started in January 2011, is funded jointly by the European Commission (through the 7th Framework Programme (FP7)) and the European trade association for the cosmetic, toiletry and perfumery industry Colipa.
The European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) has published S-IN’s report on “Applicability of physicochemical data, QSARs and read-across in Threshold of Toxicological Concern assessment” (Threshold of Toxicological Concern).
S-IN will provide an oral presentation at the Computational Methods in Toxicology and Pharmacology Integrating Internet Resources (CMTPI-2011) on “Role of in silico genotoxicity tools in the regulatory assessment of pharmaceutical impurities” which will be held in in Maribor, Slovenia from September 3rd to 7th 2011.
During the International Year of Chemistry ( IYC), the national congress of "Società Chimica Italiana" is sponsored by S-IN as well.
SEURAT - Safety Evaluation Ultimately Replacing Animal Testing - was presented by the FP7 HEALTH Theme in 2008 as the long-term target in safety testing. The Research Initiative launched by the European Commission and Colipa ("Towards the replacement of in vivo repeated dose systemic toxicity testing") is called “SEURAT-1”, indicating that this is a first step in a specific area addressing the global long-term strategic target SEURAT.
SEURAT-1 has been launched on 1 January 2011 as a cluster, composed of six complementary research projects.
S-IN was invited by the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) at the “Workshop on the Threshold of Toxicological Concern: Scientific challenges and approaches”, held in Brussels from 8 to 10 June. S-IN provided an oral presentation on: “Contract: Preparation of a report on applicability of physicochemical data, QSARs and read-across in Threshold of Toxicological Concern assessment” illustrating the main results of the research project sponsored by EFSA as part of the “Opinion on the applicability of the TTC in the different areas of food and feed risk assessment” to be published by the end of 2011.
S-IN provided an oral presentation at the SETAC Europe 21st Annual Meeting, held in Milan from 15-19 May, on “Threshold of toxicological concern assessment: investigation of possible improvements by means of in silico methods” in the section “Risk assessment of chemicals within REACH integrating alternative methods and non testing strategies”.
